In some cases detailed site investigation and risk assessment works identify unacceptable risks that need to be address to allow development to progress. In this event remediation works are required.

The selection of the right method for remediation is key as each available option has technical challenges depending upon the nature of the contaminant, ground conditions, environmental sensitivity, development type, cost, timescales and space.

OHES has a unique and specialist capability with regards to remediation sourced from its history working on complex and highly contaminated petrochemical facilities and the delivery of remediation works in highly complex situations from its incident response business.
